Cookie Policy

This page explains how YallaSafra uses cookies and what you can expect when browsing our platform.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are used to remember your preferences, analyse usage patterns, and ensure the site functions correctly.

YallaSafra uses cookies and browser storage for two things only: running the site (for example keeping you signed in) and anonymous visit statistics through Google Analytics. We show no ads, we are not part of any ad network, and we use no advertising or retargeting cookies.

Essential Cookies

Essential cookies are required for the site to operate and cannot be disabled. Without them, core security and session management features will not function correctly.

These cookies include:

  • Sign-in cookie (token) — set only when you sign in; it keeps you signed in as you move between pages and is removed when you sign out.
  • Account data in browser storage — a copy of the same sign-in session so you do not have to sign in on every page.

Essential cookies cannot be disabled as they are necessary for site security and core functionality.

Analytics Cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 (by Google) to learn how many people visit and which pages are read. Google Analytics sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_…, which last up to two years unless you delete them.

We do not send your name, email or account ID to Google Analytics, and Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. We use it only for:

  • Measuring visit counts and page navigation flows.
  • Seeing, in aggregate, which countries, languages and devices visitors come from.

We do not use analytics data for advertising and we do not sell it. To stop Google Analytics, delete and block the _ga cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's official opt-out add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Preference Cookies

Your language is part of the page address (/ar/ or /en/), not a cookie. Your browser's local storage keeps a few small things on your device to make the site easier to use; they are sent to us only when needed:

  • Your trip planner draft, so it is not lost if you reload the page.
  • Whether you closed the "install the app" prompt, so it does not reappear.

Third-Party Cookies

YallaSafra sets no advertising or retargeting cookies, shows no ads and is on no ad network. The third parties that may set their own cookies while you use our site are:

  • Google — for the Google Analytics statistics described above.
  • Our search partners: Travelpayouts/Aviasales (the flight search tool) and Stay22 (the hotel map). Their tools run inside our pages and may set cookies to run the search and to record that a booking came through us, which earns us a commission at no extra cost to you.
  • The booking sites you go to in order to complete a booking, under each site's own privacy policy.

There are no advertising or retargeting cookies on this site.

Managing Cookies

We do not show a cookie settings banner; you control cookies from your browser settings, where you can delete or block any of them. Blocking the sign-in cookie will stop you staying signed in; blocking the _ga cookies does not affect how the site works.

How to manage cookies in popular browsers:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Cookies and site permissions
