The Masjid Albukhary KL is a mosque located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is situated on Jalan Hang Tuah, adjacent to the Victoria Institution and opposite the Hang Tuah station.
The Al-Bukhari Foundation Mosque, known locally as Masjid Albukhary KL, stands on Jalan Hang Tuah in central Kuala Lumpur, next to the historic Victoria Institution school and opposite Hang Tuah station, where the monorail and the metro meet. It takes its name from the Albukhary Foundation, which owns and manages it and of which it is one of the earliest initiatives; the foundation, established by the Malaysian businessman Syed Mokhtar Albukhary, supports poor Muslims and funds the journey of the needy among them to Makkah for Hajj and Umrah. The mosque shares its name with the foundation's headquarters mosque, Masjid Albukhary in Alor Setar, Kedah. The mosque is notable for its clean white architecture with a large dome and two minarets, and for its quiet setting in green grounds on the edge of the old city centre; its facilities include halls for religious education and charitable activities. Wikivoyage describes it as a beautiful mosque well worth a visit, and it is a popular choice for Muslim visitors attending Friday prayer because it is easily reached from Bukit Bintang and the city centre.
According to Wikivoyage (2026) the mosque is open daily from 5:00 to 22:00. The easiest way to arrive is by monorail or MRT to Hang Tuah station, directly opposite. Dress modestly, women should cover their hair and shoes come off inside; ablution areas and clean facilities are available. It combines easily with the nearby Stadium Merdeka and Merdeka 118 tower, and many halal restaurants cluster around the station.
