The Aquaria KLCC is an oceanarium located beneath Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre within Kuala Lumpur City Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Aquaria KLCC is a giant oceanarium beneath the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in the heart of the KLCC district, a few steps from the Petronas Twin Towers and KLCC Park. Construction began in 2003 and it opened officially in August 2005; it covers 5,600 square metres on two levels and houses more than 250 species and over 5,000 aquatic and land animals from Malaysia and around the world. The aquarium is laid out as the journey of water from land to sea: it begins in the misty highlands, descends through rivers, rainforest and mangroves, and ends among coral reefs and the deep blue sea. Its centrepiece is a 90-metre underwater tunnel where sharks, rays and sea turtles glide overhead, complemented by interactive touch pools, information kiosks on fish and turtle conservation, and feeding sessions at set times through the day announced on the official website. A large food court and a souvenir area lie directly outside. Aquaria is one of the most convenient family attractions in central Kuala Lumpur, especially during the heat of the day or a tropical downpour.
According to Wikivoyage (2026) the aquarium is open 10:30 to 20:00 with last admission at 19:00; foreign adults pay RM50, children RM40 and seniors RM30, with lower rates for Malaysians. Check the official website for current prices and the feeding schedule, and book online to skip the queue. Allow one and a half to two hours; weekday mornings are quietest. Walk from KLCC station (Kelana Jaya line) through KLCC Park or the covered walkway; the As Syakirin Mosque in the same park is convenient for prayer, and halal restaurants abound in Suria KLCC.
