Shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Quill City Mall is a shopping centre in downtown Kuala Lumpur on Jalan Sultan Ismail, close to the traditional Malay quarter of Kampung Baru and the commercial Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman. It forms part of the Quill City integrated development, formerly known as Vision City (Bandar Wawasan in Malay), which remains only partially completed. The mall has seven retail levels with fashion, electronics and home stores, eateries and cafes, a cinema and a large NSK supermarket on its lower level, popular with residents for everyday shopping at reasonable prices. A pedestrian bridge connects the mall to Medan Tuanku monorail station, and it is a 3 to 5 minute walk from Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman with its fabric and traditional clothing shops, and close to Kampung Baru, famous for its popular halal Malay restaurants. It is far less touristy than the Bukit Bintang malls and suits visitors staying in the north of the city centre or looking for relaxed family shopping.
According to Wikivoyage (2026) the mall is open daily 10:00 to 22:00. Combine the visit with a stroll through Kampung Baru for halal Malay food, or with fabric shopping on Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman; the Kampung Baru Jamek Mosque is within walking distance for prayer. Take the monorail to Medan Tuanku and cross the covered bridge. The mall's restaurants are varied, and the supermarket is handy for provisions and Malaysian gifts at local prices.
