Suria KLCC is one of Malaysia's premier shopping destinations, located at the foot of the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur City Centre; "suria" is the Malay word for sunshine. The mall spreads over six floors with more than 300 flagship stores, among them the Isetan and Parkson department stores, the Kinokuniya bookshop and international luxury brands, together with cafes and restaurants, the Signatures food court, a 12-screen cinema, the Petronas Philharmonic Hall, the Petronas Art Gallery and the Petrosains science discovery centre beloved of children. Its position directly beneath the towers makes it one of the capital's most visited spots; KLCC station on the Kelana Jaya line lies underneath, its rear opens onto the spacious KLCC Park with its musical fountains, children's pool and the As Syakirin Mosque, and an air-conditioned pedestrian bridge links it to Pavilion in Bukit Bintang. The mall combines luxury shopping with a wide range of restaurants, including many Malaysian and Arab halal options, and is the usual starting point for a visit to the Petronas Towers observation deck and the neighbouring Aquaria KLCC.
