Amusement park in Bahrain
Adhari Park is an amusement park in Bahrain, south of Bilad Al Qadeem and west of Manama's Zinj district, beside the Shaikh Isa Bin Salman highway that leads to the King Fahd Causeway. It is named after the neighbouring Ain Adhari, a historic freshwater spring that for centuries was one of Bahrain's best-known springs and gave rise to a popular local saying about the spring that waters distant fields but leaves those nearby dry. The area around the spring was first remodelled in 2003, then renovated at a cost of about 15 million Bahraini dinars; the park opened to the public in April 2008 on 165,000 square metres and drew some 800,000 visitors in its first year. It has large outdoor rides brought from Italy and the United States, indoor rides in a family entertainment centre, a heritage village, lawns, a restaurant, a food court and cafés, and parking for about 1,200 cars, a favourite with families on Bahraini evenings.
According to Wikivoyage it opens in the evening, the best time in the hot months anyway. Rides are paid, so check card and family package prices at the entrance. Allow two to three hours. Weekends are busy, weekdays calmer. A car or taxi is the easiest way there.
