Shopping mall in Dubai, United Arab Emirates
City Centre Mirdif is a large shopping mall in the residential district of Mirdif in eastern Dubai, close to the airport and Emirates Road. It opened on 26 March 2010 and is developed and managed by Majid Al Futtaim Properties. With a gross leasable area of about 196,000 square metres, it houses some 465 shops, more than 80 restaurants and cafes, and a wide range of entertainment and leisure facilities. Unlike Dubai's big tourist malls, City Centre Mirdif is a family mall that serves mainly the surrounding neighbourhoods, which gives it a calmer atmosphere, moderate prices and plenty for children, from an indoor theme park and cinema to indoor sports areas, alongside a Carrefour hypermarket and international and local brands. It suits families staying in eastern Dubai or near the airport, and anyone who wants a local shopping experience away from the crowds of the Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates.
Open Sunday to Wednesday 10:00–22:00 and Thursday to Saturday 10:00–midnight (per Wikivoyage). Car or taxi is easiest, as there is no direct metro station; parking is ample and generally free. Ideal for a very hot or rainy afternoon with children in the indoor play areas, with prayer rooms and many halal restaurants.
