Aquarium in Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Dubai Dolphinarium is the first fully air-conditioned indoor dolphinarium in the Middle East, located in Creek Park in Bur Dubai near Children's City in the Oud Metha area. It opened on 21 May 2008 in partnership with Dubai Municipality and with the support of the Dubai government, with the stated aims of entertaining the public, educating them about dolphins, seals and other marine animals, and encouraging the younger generation to protect marine life and the environment. It presents live dolphin and seal shows several times a day, along with photo sessions and a swim-with-dolphins programme; the complex also includes an indoor exotic bird park and other shows for children. Being indoors and air-conditioned, it is a comfortable option for families in the hot summer months. Some visitors consider performances by marine mammals in captivity a matter of debate, so some families may prefer simply to watch the shows without direct interaction, or to visit Dubai's large aquariums instead.
There are several shows daily between 11:00 and 19:00; the dolphin show costs about AED 120–140 for adults and AED 50–100 for children (per Wikivoyage, 2026). Check the schedule and book ahead during school holidays. Arrive half an hour early to choose seats, and expect splashes in the front rows. Combine it with neighbouring Creek Park and Children's City; the park has picnic areas and prayer facilities.
